Antike Nähmaschine
Preis verhandelbar komplett mit Abdeckung und Tisch (siehe Fotos) Dietrich High Arm TS - ``Volmerhus`` #, courtesy of Bernard Pokorski. Badged as Volmerhus for the Scandinavian market. The serial number also has a small 2, but this is separate from the serial number, it appears in between the spacings of two other numbers and it is not unusual to find ``extra`` numbers near the serial number of some German and English machines. Including it in the serial number would make the number far too high. The logo badge uses the old style L.O.D. ``S`` logo with Vesta (example from another machine of this same model shown in this album). This indicates that the machine could not have been made before when Dietrich first used the name Vesta. When the company founder died in ``Vesta`` became more widely used and by it had replaced the old name of Dietrich. See German Logo Badges for other examples. The decals are pink and echo the red Art Nouveau/Rennie Mackintosh style decals which later developed and appeared on many of their Vesta models. Generally speaking, Art Nouveau decal styles died out by the end of WWI, but Dietrich may have carried on with this style for a while.
